I’m a sedimentologist interested in a range of geological processes and phenomena. By taking a multidisciplinary approach to research and starting with the assertion that the past is the key is the future, I aim to address important questions regarding Earth systems and the link between physical, chemical, and biological processes in the geologic record.

I completed my PhD in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Ottawa. My dissertation focused on Neoproterozoic deep-marine sedimentary rocks of the Windermere Supergroup in British Columbia. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in the Department of Earth Sciences at Western University, where I completed an honors thesis on the stratigraphy of the Bow Island Formation of western Alberta.

My current research is based in Nova Scotia and British Columbia, although I’ve had the opportunity to travel around the world for research and as part of field trips, to locations such as the French Alps, France, Death Valley, California, San Salvador and Eleuthera Islands, Bahamas, and Northern Ontario, Canada.
